AMVOLT LV Energy Box 14 kWh

The AMVOLT 14 kWh LV Energy Box is a scalable and compact open storage system made of individual battery cells and replaceable standardized components. This significantly extends the lifespan of the entire storage. The Energy Box has an integrated battery management system (BMS) made in the EU. It monitors the temperature, current and voltage of each cell. It also controls the charging of the battery system and, if necessary and fully charged, balances the cells (passive method). The BMS also includes a temperature sensor that automatically disconnects the entire battery from the rest of the system in the event of an excess temperature of the battery box (55 °C). The BMS provides the calculation of the SoC, SoH and internal resistance values of each cell. Information about the state of charge, voltage and current is transmitted by the battery to the inverter via a CAN interface.


The 14kWh variant is designed for 16 ELERIX EX-L280 cells (3.2 V; 280 Ah) and an operating voltage of 51.2 V. The battery cells are manufactured according to ČSN EN 62619 and have been tested in accordance with this standard (TÜV Rheinland).


The AMVOLT LV Energy box can be used either separately or expanded with up to two additional units (up to a total capacity of 42.9 kWh). For expansion, it is always necessary to use the AMVOLT Master Unit, which acts as a superior supervision over individual "slave" energy boxes. This ensures double the security of the entire assembly.

  • Low-voltage battery storage for inverters operating at 48-60 V
  • Scalable storage system with a capacity of up to 42.9 kWh (requires AMVOLT Master Unit)
  • High-power applications (peakshaving) or off-grid projects at low voltage (max. 2 C).

 


AMVOLT's technical philosophy is to produce open storage systems in the Czech Republic from individual battery cells and interchangeable standardized components. This significantly extends the lifespan of the entire storage system compared to the closed non-replaceable battery boxes and sockets that are widespread today.
AMVOLT LV energy boxes are intentionally designed so that the customer has the possibility of possible future expansion, modification or service without depending on the AMVOLT system itself.


Comparison with competitors:

 

 

The AMVOLT 14 kWh low-voltage (LV) boxes are freely scalable (14 kWh each) and offer customers a complete solution in a compact, modular, industrial form for indoor or container installation. All components except cells (i.e. contactors, relays, BMS, protection circuits, etc.) are made in the EU and the USA.


BMS and communication system:

 

 

LV Energy AMVOLT boxes have an integrated BMS system of our own design manufactured in the Czech Republic.
It is intentionally not connected to any foreign cloud (for security reasons), but at the same time it allows remote control and monitoring with direct access through a firewall that the customer has fully controlled.
The current is measured by the shunt. The BMS provides the calculation of the SoC, SoH and internal resistance values of each cell.

Warranty conditions:

 

  • Warranty of 10 years on mechanical construction and 10 years & 8000 charging cycles (whichever comes first) on battery cells.

  • Lifetime warranty for technical support, service and expansion.
  • Installation must be carried out by a qualified specialist company.
